The time we've all be waiting for is here — Backer Surveys are going out now ✨ It's a lot of information so please read thoroughly!

Soon, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s essential to respond to your survey as quickly as possible since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.

Please complete your survey by no later than TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2ND as we will be locking all orders then and charging cards.

You do not need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the survey invite email, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You may not have access to this survey link just yet, but it will be available soon (today/tomorrow) via email!

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.

Due to the volatility of shipping prices globally right now, shipping fees for this project will be calculated at a later date (EST October 2025). We plan to enter & charge backers for shipping a few weeks before final fulfillment when we have better estimates of what it will cost to ship backer rewards. We will alert backers when shipping costs are finalized & before we charge your cards in your BackerKit survey. We will keep you informed all along the way!

One last favor that is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL ❤️
If you have the means to Add-On extra items and/or Add-On a designated amount ($5 - $100+) to the "Tip Chest" it will goto offsetting our astronomical tariff and freight charges due to the current circumstances. We are happy to cover any excess costs to get the game here, but any amount you Add-On will be so very helpful to us. If not, 100% understandable ✌️

If anyone has any questions for us specifically, please comment on this post as we will be monitoring it closely over the next few weeks. Otherwise the BackerKit team is equipped to help with technical help via their designated channels (please use them if needed!).

And to end on a positive note: We got to play the first ever mass produced copy of Realm Runners at Gen Con 2025 and it was such a blast. The game turned out better than ever imagined, and we are so very proud of this project.

Howdy everyone 👋

Are any of you at Gen Con in Indianapolis this year!? If so, you have a unique chance to see Realm Runners in person before anyone else and maybe even get to play a round with me! I brought our ONE copy that I showcased in the last unboxing video update which you can see HERE 📺

Come see the game on SATURDAY, AUGUST 2 from 4PM-6PM at BackerKit's Booth #1939.

Ok, now for our classic update!

All 3,000 copies of Realm Runners are made and in waiting at our manufacturer's storage center in China awaiting freight pick-up 🎉

Our freight experts have instructed us to wait until after August 11th to (hopefully) get some clarity on what the tariff charge will be so we can plan accordingly. Things are in flux at the moment with new announcements happening sporadically with very little detail. It's a beyond frustrating experience for us but once we understand more we will send our backer surveys ASAP so we can square away all your order and shipping details.

The BackerKit surveys will give you one last opportunity to edit your shipping address AND upgrade and/or add-on any additional items you want. We will also charge shipping and fulfillment at this time once the costs are more clear to us.

Assuming nothin major happens between now and August 11th we plan to move forward fast. So stay tuned, and hopefully I will see some of you here at Gen Con this weekend.

Hey friends 👋

Some very exciting news! Our manufacturer sent us our final physical copy of Realm Runners to review and approve before they hit the big red button and make all 3000 copies. And it looks absolutely glorious!

I've gone ahead and approved the game to go into mass production next week. While we sort out freight, shipping, and warehousing, I wanted to tide you all over with an official unboxing of the final game. This is what you will be getting in the mail later this year assuming all goes as planned!

Hey everyone, we are knee deep in the no-news-is-good-news phase of manufacturing and fulfillment 📦 All we need now is a little patience as the manufacturing process plays out.

Things are moving forward smoothy and we've been told we can expect our Mass Production Copy (MPC) any day now. This is the very last physical copy we have to approve before heading into final mass production.

Since our last update we have secured a freight partner to get our game from China to USA. And we've also secured a warehouse and fulfillment partner to get our games from us to you!

As mentioned in our last update, here is the general timeline to expect:

MASS PRODUCTION (typically takes 10-12 weeks) — the first official copy of Realm Runners, called the Mass Production Copy (MPC), should be arriving any day now. We are at the tail end of this stage and everything is running super smooth. This is the final checkpoint before final assembly.

FINAL ASSEMBLY (typically 1-2 week) — after the MPC has been approved by us, Panda's production team will finish final assembly and prepare the games for shipping.

SHIPPING (TBD) — Once all the games are shipped form China to our USA warehouse (freight) we will begin shipping to all of you! The timeline for this will depend on the availability and cost of boats from China to USA. How the tariffs will affect freight timelines and costs are still a little blurry as of today but we are going to get some answers later this week from our freight partners.

📝 You can all expect BackerKit surveys once we know Realm Runners is on a boat heading our way and what the official tariff impact will be. In the survey you will be able to confirm your shipping address and add any last minute items to your order. 

We are so very excited to be so close to the finish line. We only had a couple backers get cranky at us because of the unforeseen delays, but the VAST MAJORITY of you (like 99.9%) are so rad and patient. Your kindness and understanding is what keeps us going and maintaining our excitement.

We will send another update with pics once the MOC copy arrives along with an updated timeline!

Great news everyone — Realm Runners is officially in Production 🎉

We want to first thank everyone here for your continued support, enthusiasm, and patience as we navigate these endlessly unpredictable times. It means the world to us as we get closer to getting Realm Runners on your table ❤️

You may have heard that the 145% tariff on China that completely paralyzed this project has been lessened to 30% for the next 90 days. To be clear, this still really sucks for us all. Basically what we are now dealing with is a 30% raise in costs which is nothing to celebrate. BUT it melts the ice enough for us to pave a path forward and get this game made.

While we are in production, these tariffs will still affect our timeline a bit as countless other people in our position are also moving forward with production at the same time. There is a bit of a log-jam effect going on both with manufacturing and (especially) freight. After speaking with our excellent manufacturers in China (Panda Game Manufacturing), here is a tentative look at our timeline moving forward. Keep in mind these dates can (and likely will) shift for better or for worse and we will relay any shifts as they happen:

If all goes as planned I'm hoping Realm Runners will land in our USA warehouse by early September. Of course it can be sooner or later than that, but the ecosystem is just so rattled by these tariffs that it is a bit unpredictable at the moment. If you do the math, this also puts us outside of the 90 day window for the 30% tariff. No one knows what will happen after that 90 days, but we're hoping the China tariff goes down further, not up. We will share all the ebbs and flows as they happen 📦
